IN BRIEF

  • Valtteri Bottas made a winning start to the 2020 campaign as he held off the challenge of Charles Leclerc in last week’s Austrian Grand Prix.
  • The Red Bull Ring will play host once again for the first running of the Styrian Grand Prix which will offer some the chance to right the wrongs of last week.
  • One of those will be reigning champion Lewis Hamilton who only managed to finish in fourth place after he was handed a three-place grid penalty following last week’s qualifying.
  • Bottas’ victory last week prevented Max Verstappen from winning a third consecutive Austrian Grand Prix after the Dutchman’s race lasted just 11 laps.

THE PREDICTION

Valtteri Bottas got his season off to a great start by claiming the win in the opening Grand Prix of the 2020 calender at last week’s Austrian Grand Prix. The action remains in Austria for a second consecutive race for the Styrian Grand Prix and that could aid Max Verstappen who will be keen to put last week’s disappointment behind him. His race ended early last week because of an issue on his power unit but with those problems hopefully behind him, the Dutchman can get himself back on the podium at a venue where he has won two of his last three races.
