THE PREDICTION
Jamaica have struggled in the early stages of qualification because COVID-19 prevented them from selecting some of their better players from the English league system. This time around, however, they do have the likes of Michail Antonio and Leon Bailey back in the squad. They remain adrift of the intercontinental playoff spot but five points in their last three qualifying matches is a marked improvement. They come up against a United States side that recorded an impressive 2-0 victory over Mexico at the weekend. That win, via two late second-half goals, moved the US to the top-of-the-group. However, they did lose away in Panama last year to make this result slightly more uncertain. USA should be favourites but it could be a fairly low-scoring encounter.
