THE PREDICTION
Despite being hosts, Cameroon were knocked out of the AFCON in January at the semi-final stage against Egypt on penalties. They did win a penalty shootout and finish third, though, against Burkina Faso. The impressive form of Vincent Aboubakar will hopefully be carried on into the third round stage. They now come up against an Algeria side that, under the management of Djamel Belmadi, went into the tournament as favourites and reigning champions but they were knocked out of the competition at the group stages. The Algerians will be looking to shift to a defensive and containing style in Cameroon and a low-scoring encounter, therefore, would appear likely.
