THE PREDICTION

Atalanta stunned Liverpool in the quarter-finals, ruining Jurgen Klopp’s European swansong with the Reds and booking a place in the last four of the Europa League for the first time in La Dea’s history. Marseille meanwhile, are set to compete in this stage of the competition for a fourth time, having won all three of their previous semi-final ties across the club's history. After knocking out Portuguese giants Benfica last time out, Marseille underlined how strong a team they are and Atalanta face another difficult away trip in the first-leg. But underestimating a side led by the canny Gian Piero Gasperini would be a foolish move and the visitors certainly boast the attacking capabilities to hurt Marseille. This may well prove to be a first-leg full of goal-scoring opportunities at both ends of the pitch and regardless of the final outcome, backing over 2.5 goals to be scored looks a good move.
