VILLARREAL VS MAN UTD PREDICTION

The Europa League final sees Spain take on England as Villarreal face off against Man Utd in Gdansk. Whilst Man Utd dropped into the Europa League after finishing third-place in their Champions League group, Villarreal have been in the Europa League since the group stage and have not lost in any of their 14 matches played in this season’s competition, winning 12 of those games. However, they have yet to face an opponent as strong as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and this will prove the biggest test of all for the Spaniards. United are sweating over the fitness of captain Harry Maguire and the centre-back would be a big miss should he not be available for selection. However, what Man Utd lack in defence, they will make up for in attack with the likes of Edinson Cavani up front, supported by Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford and Paul Pogba just behind. After scoring eight times over the course of their two-legged semi-final with Roma, such offensive potency could prove the difference in this final. Whatever the outcome over 90 minutes, both teams to score has to be favoured as was the case in three of the four semi-final legs involving each of these two sides.
