THE PREDICTION
Quadruple-chasing Liverpool are undoubtedly the favourites in this semi-final with Villarreal very much the surprise package in this season’s Champions League campaign. The Spanish side have revelled in their underdog status though, with European giants Juventus and Bayern falling victim to them in the last two rounds. Cup specialist Unai Emery is no stranger to these occasions, but this could be a step too far for them against Jurgen Klopp’s winning machine, whose relentless assault on all fronts is showing no sign of abating. Roared on by the Anfield faithful, you’d have to favour the hosts in this first leg with the win to nil market offering extra value.
