THE PREDICTION
Reigning European champions Chelsea were pipped to top spot in Group H by Juventus but they will have been relatively pleased with their round of 16 draw as they are firm favourites against Lille, who have struggled to match the heights they reached last season when they clinched the Ligue 1 title. Both sides were fairly watertight in their respective groups though, with just four goals conceded each, and this first leg could well be a rather cagey affair. Chelsea are certainly not a free-scoring side despite the talent in their ranks and it is not often that they blow teams away. For that reason, backing Thomas Tuchel’s men to secure the win in a match containing under 2.5 goals is the prediction.
