THE PREDICTION

Reigning European champions Real Madrid boast home advantage in the first-leg of what should be another memorable semi-final clash between the Spanish giants and Premier League leaders Man City, who are aiming to win the Champions League for the first time in their history. For the visitors, much will depend on the impact of star striker Erling Haaland, who has already racked up over 50 goals in all competitions this season, including 12 in the Champions League. Haaland faces a Real Madrid backline weakened by the absence of Eder Militao through suspension, but the strength of Carlo Ancelotti’s also lies through their offensive potency. It’s hard to see Man City being able to keep out the likes of Karim Benzema and Vinicius Junior over 90 minutes and goalscoring opportunities are expected to come regularly for both sides. With that in mind, back both teams to score, regardless of whether either comes out of this one with an aggregate lead.
