THE PREDICTION
Chelsea’s heavy defeat at the hands of Brentford in the Premier League over the weekend will have been something of a shock to the system and is hardly ideal preparation for this heavyweight clash with Real Madrid, but Thomas Tuchel will have his men refocused for this first-leg clash. A Karim Benzema-inspired Real Madrid proved that they are still a significant European force when they came from behind to see off PSG in the round of 16, and the aura they have in this competition is simply unmatched. They will aim to keep things tight here to give themselves every chance of winning the tie in the return leg at the Bernabeu, so under 2.5 goals stands a good chance of coming in, just as it did in both legs of the semi-final meeting between the two sides last season
