THE LOWDOWN
PSG
PSG won’t want to be reminded of what happened the last time they took to the pitch in the Champions League. Faced with the cauldron that was St. James’ Park, the French champions were found wanting as a laser-focused Newcastle ripped them apart, beating PSG by four goals to one in what was one of the biggest surprise results of the competition so far this season.
That loss leaves them second-place in Group F and with work to do if they want to establish clear daylight between themselves and the bottom two in the group. Since then, PSG have recorded consecutive Ligue 1 wins and scored three times on both occasions, although only one came from Kylian Mbappe.
AC MILAN
AC Milan have established themselves as the draw specialists so far in the ‘Group of Death’, their opening two fixtures against Newcastle and Borussia Dortmund both finishing goalless. Although they’ll need to find a way to improve from an attacking perspective, but finding a balance is critical as PSG will punish them if given too much space at the other end of the pitch.
Stefano Pioli’s side are aiming to bounce back after losing a crucial Serie A fixture at home to Juventus by a single goal this past Sunday. A first-half red card for defender Malick Thiaw proving costly. This was just their second league defeat of the campaign and allowed fierce rivals Inter Milan to overtake them at the top of the table.
THE TEAM NEWS
PSG
As always, Luis Enrique is spoilt for choice up top, with both Randal Kolo Muani and Goncalo Ramos fighting for the right to lead the line. Kylian Mbappe and Osmane Dembele should line up either side of whoever gets chosen with Marco Asensio an injury doubt. Defenders Presnel Kimpembe and Nuno Mendes are both missing.
PREDICTED XI (4-3-3): Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Skriniar, Hernandez; Zaire-Emery, Ugarte, Vitinha; Dembele, Kolo Muani; Mbappe
UNAVAILABLE: Kimpembe (Injured), Mendes (Injured)
QUESTIONABLE: Asensio (Injured)
AC MILAN
Both Christian Pulisic and Rafael Leao are likely to have key roles here for AC Milan with their direct playstyles likely to cause PSG big problems. Caldara, Chukwueze and Sportiello are all absent as a result of injuries, whilst Pioli has a decision to make on whether to revert to three centre-backs or not when considering their opponents.
PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Florenzi, Thiaw, Tomori, Theo Hernandez; Musah, Adli; Pulisic, Reijnders, Leao; Giroud,
UNAVAILABLE: Caldara (Injured), Chukwueze (Injured), Sportiello (Injured)

THE PREDICTION
Following that shambolic display against Newcastle, the pressure has been ramped onto PSG ahead of this match. With home advantage in their favour, any outcome other than victory would be seen as a failure by supporters. AC Milan are a strong team, who will make themselves extremely difficult to break down and the pace of Leao on the counter-attack poses a huge threat to the hosts. However, with the offensive players at PSG’s disposal, not to mention their resources from the bench, the expectation is that they will do enough to edge past the visitors.
TIP: PSG TO WIN
