THE PREDICTION
Home advantage could prove worth its weight in gold for Newcastle heading into this make-or-break Group F encounter. The Magpies have won eight of their last nine games in all competitions at St. James’ Park and only victory against AC Milan gives them a chance of leapfrogging PSG into second-place, depending on the French champions’ result away to Borussia Dortmund. For Milan though, the prize is exactly the same as they sit level on points with Eddie Howe’s side, so don’t expect them to sit back for 90 minutes. An entertaining contest appears to be on the cards with attacking intent a critical for both sides knowing that a draw knocks the pair of them out of the competition. Therefore, back over 2.5 goals to be scored with plenty of chances expected at either end of the pitch.
