THE PREDICTION

Barcelona’s Champions League campaign has been something of a disaster so far with 3-0 losses to both Bayern Munich and Benfica leaving them bottom of Group E and they really need a result here, especially at home against one of the supposedly ‘weaker’ teams in the group. These two sides were also drawn in the same group last year with Barcelona winning both fixtures but things have changed since then – not least Lionel Messi departing Catalonia – and the Spanish giants are far less convincing at the moment. The likes of Memphis Depay are capable of winning games for Ronald Koeman’s side but defensively they remain incredibly suspect so there is a strong argument for both teams scoring here.
