THE KEY STATS
- Borussia Dortmund have lost only two of their last 18 Champions League matches at home (W10 D6).
- Borussia Dortmund are aiming to win four successive Champions League group stage matches for the first time since they won six in a row between November 2013 and November 2014.
- Borussia Dortmund have lost only two of their previous 11 UEFA club competition matches at home against French teams (W6 D3).
- PSG have lost only two of their last nine UEFA club competition group matches against German teams (W4 D3).
- PSG have not failed to score in their last 49 Champions League group stage matches, since a 1-0 defeat away from home against Real Madrid in November 2015.
- A defeat or draw for PSG would see them without a win in three successive Champions League group stage matches for the first time since the 2004/05 season.
THE PREDICTION
PSG head into the final round of group games with their Champions League fate in their own hands. Victory away at Borussia Dortmund would be enough for them to not only advantage through to the round of 16, but also as Group F winners, having already beaten the Bundesliga giants 2-0 back in the reverse fixture at Parc Des Princes. Kylian Mbappe scored in that one and a further two Champions League goals since then means that the French superstar has now racked up 13 goals across PSG’s last 13 group stage fixtures. In a match of such magnitude and importance from the French champions’ perspective, it would be no surprise to see Mbappe take centre stage once again, so back Luis Enrique’s top striker to find the net again regardless of the final outcome.
TIP: KYLIAN MBAPPE TO SCORE ANYTIME
