THE PREDICTION

Chelsea certainly won’t have an easy time of it against Ajax, who have proven themselves to be extremely strong at home. Victories in Amsterdam against PSG, Bayern Munich and AS Roma across the group stage is testament to that. Expect Ajax to try and take the game to Emma Hayes’ side and over the course of 90 minutes it would be no surprise to see them score at least once. Chelsea’s offensive quality is clear for all to see and after scoring 15 group stage goals, creating chances is something they thrive upon. Therefore, backing both teams to score in this first-leg appears a smart move.
