THE PREDICTION
After one leg of an extremely exciting Champions League semi-final matchup, everything is still to play for between Barcelona and PSG heading into the second leg after the two sides played out a 1-1 draw in Paris. Barcelona are not used to being held to a draw, having won all 25 of their league games so far this season and with a whopping 25 goals scored over the course of their last five matches in all competitions, the Spaniards will be confident of booking their place in the Champions League final with an away goal already secured. PSG have every reason to believe they can cause a surprise in Amsterdam however, especially after coming back from a one goal deficit to knock out fellow French giants Lyon in the quarter-finals. Whilst the match not being played in Spain may have a detrimental effect on Barcelona, the large pitch at Johan Cruijff Arena should suit their possession-based playstyle and whilst this will prove a close encounter, Barcelona may just have enough firepower and all-round quality within their side to edge past PSG in what should be an excellent advertisement for Women’s football.
