REAL MADRID VS ATALANTA PREDICTION

A crucial away goal for Real Madrid in Bergamo leaves Atalanta with it all to do ahead of this Champions League round of 16 second leg. The Italians must accomplish what they failed to achieve in the first leg and find the net at least once to get themselves back into this tie. However, Gian Piero Gasperini’s side have already proved their credentials on the road in the group stage, winning all three of their games away from home without shipping a single goal. Real Madrid have conceded in each of their last three matches in all competitions, however Zinedine Zidane’s men will be boosted by the presence of star striker Karim Benzema, who was unavailable for the first leg due to injury. Benzema’s potency in front of goal should ensure that the hosts manage to find the net in this second leg, but whether that will prove enough against an Atalanta side notorious for their attacking verve remains to be seen. Either way, both teams to score looks very much the smart play in this one.
