THE TEAM NEWS
MAN CITY
- Manchester City are in a commanding position in Group C having won their opening two games and go into this one off the back of a 2-0 victory at Crystal Palace on Saturday.
- Guardiola started without a recognised centre-back against Palace but John Stones did return to the squad and Nicolas Otamendi's knock is not thought to be serious, so the pair could start together.
- Sergio Aguero is set to start having been rested against Palace while Riyad Mahrez and Phil Foden are also rotation options, and Mendy could start at left-back with Zinchenko unavailable due to illness.
Predicted line-up (4-3-3): Ederson; Joao Cancelo, Otamendi, Stones, Mendy; Gundogan, Rodri, De Bruyne; Mahrez, Aguero, Sterling
Unavailable: Sane (Injured), Laporte (Injured), Zinchenko (Illness)
Doubtful: Walker (Illness), Otamendi (Injured)
ATALANTA
- Atalanta have found it hard going in their debut Champions League campaign, losing 4-0 at Dinamo Zagreb before a 2-1 defeat at home to Shakhtar Donetsk, but they are going well in the league again.
- Top scorer Duvan Zapata has been ruled out again with an injury he sustained on international duty so Luis Muriel, who scored twice in Saturday's 3-3 draw at Lazio, will start up front again, while Kjaer and Palomino also miss out here.
- Otherwise, coach Gian Piero Gasperini has a full squad at his disposal and could recall Marten de Roon, who did not feature against Lazio.
Predicted line-up (3-4-1-2): Gollini; Rafael Toloi, Djimsiti,Masiello; Castagne, Pasalic, De Roon, Gosens; Gomez; Ilicic, Muriel
Unavailable: Zapata (Injured), Kjaer (Injured), Palomino (Injured)

THE PREDICTION
Manchester City have won their last five Champions League games at the Etihad, scoring no fewer than 21 goals in the process, and they should make fairly light work of newcomers Atalanta, who have conceded six goals in their opening two Champions League matches.
