Unai Emery is one of a group of managers in charge of clubs in Spain’s chasing pack that have been blighted by a tendency to be overly conservative and draw too many matches. Villarreal come into this on the back of an impressive 2-0 win away to Real Betis to continue their generally impressive 2022 so far. They come up against a Real Madrid side that managed a slender 1-0 win against Granada last weekend as Los Blancos continued to grind their way to the title under Carlo Ancelotti. There are some concerns Madrid are only just doing enough, though, and Villarreal will fancy themselves to at least pose an attacking threat so both teams scoring looks a good bet for this one.
