THE PREDICTION
It is a Valencian derby. Levante, prior to this season, were an entertaining and progressive side that looked to attack the better sides. In fact, their 3-3 draw with Real Madrid in August was an example of that. However, Paco Lopez was sacked in October after a winless start to the campaign. Since then, they have burned through another manager, Javier Pereira, and they remain winless on a record 24-match winless run over the course of this season and last. Their 4-3 defeat against Espanyol last weekend was at least a return to the entertainment. They come up against a Jose Bordalas side that have not been quite as ruthless and aggressive as Bordalas’ Getafe but they are getting there. The visitors started the season well, drifted and have now moved into the potential European spots after back-to-back victories extended their unbeaten run of form to eight matches in all competitions. Valencia will come into this as the favourites.
