St. Mirren’s depleted side managed to hold Celtic to a 0-0 draw on Wednesday night for a fourth stalemate in a row at home. They face the Scottish Premiership’s toughest fixture next, though, and whilst goals have been hard to come by for them they are unlikely to be able to shut out their hosts after yet another win to nil for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side. Rangers beat Dundee United 1-0 last Saturday for a fifth-successive clean sheet victory and this looks an excellent candidate for more of the same on Boxing Day.
