Zenit’s top-of-the-table clash with Spartak Moscow before the international break ended all square and they remain at the summit of the Russian Premier League on goal difference. Coach Sergey Semak will be displeased with his side’s away form given they are yet to pick up three points on the road this season but there are no such concerns about their performances at Saint-Petersburg Stadium. The reigning champions haven’t lost a league game in their back yard since December 2018 and it’s unlikely that streak is going to end here, despite the good start to the season Sochi have had. However, a ray of hope for the visitors is the fact that Zenit are likely to rest one or two players with their midweek Champions League game in mind, so backing the draw could be worth a punt if you’re in the mood for a gamble.
