THE PREDICTION
PSV saw their 15-match unbeaten run come to an end at home to Leicester City on Thursday night with two late goals seeing them crash out of the Europa Conference League 1-2 on the night and on aggregate. Ajax, on the other hand, bring a three-match winning streak to the KNVB Beker final after a 2-1 victory at home to Sparta Rotterdam last Saturday and they have scored at least two goals in each of their last six matches against Dutch opponents. On neutral ground in Feyenoord’s stadium in Rotterdam, the two look set to produce another thrilling edition to their rivalry. Five of their last six encounters have seen over 2.5 goals scored but a recent 1-2 victory at PSV for Ajax back in January could suggest they have the edge here. Nether Ajax or PSV have been as rock solid in the last few months as they have been for most of the season and that makes taking just over 2.5 goals the sensible move here. Ajax, though, should be considered the slight favourites to lift the trophy.
