Any match featuring two of ‘Os Tres Grandes’ should and usually is a dramatic encounter. Under the management of Ruben Amorim, Sporting CP have struggled in both the UEFA Champions League and Primeira Liga. The capital city club begin the weekend’s round of fixtures sitting outside of the top three. They now face a Porto side that, as reigning Portuguese champions, are sitting behind the runaway league leaders, Benfica. Sergio Conceicao’s side comfortably defeated Sporting in the Taca da Liga final the other week and another Porto win is expected for this one.
