The home team begin this weekend’s round of fixtures sitting just inside the bottom-half of the table after an inconsistent run of form. They now face a Sporting CP side that, under the management of Ruben Amorim, have enjoyed back-to-back victories ahead of this one as they sit just about on the cusp of the top three and the UEFA Champions League spots. Sporting should make it three successive Primeira Liga victories with a relatively comfortable win in this one.
