Sergio Conceicao’s reigning champions, Porto, come into this on the back of a trip to Madrid to face Atletico in the UEFA Champions League during the midweek. Their most recent domestic outing was a return to winning ways against Gil Vicente after their shock defeat to newly-promoted Rio Ave at the end of last month. They now face another newly-promoted side in Chaves who managed a shock 2-0 win at Sporting CP a couple of weeks ago. The visitors lost on the opening day of the season and are now unbeaten in four matches. Chaves will be stubborn opposition for Porto and a low-scoring home win is likely.
