- Club America enter this game riding a two-game winning streak after their impressive 2-1 away win at Queretaro. Las Aguilas have lost just once in the Clausura so far, and currently sit in fourth place with 10 points out of five games (W3, D1, L1).
- Nicolas Beneditti and Nicolas Castillo are both expected to miss the remainder of the Clausura campaign due to long-term knee injuries. Alex Renato Ibarra is out as well since he’s dealing with a hamstring injury and Jorge Sanchez remains suspended.

- Atlas have been heavily inconsistent this season and enter this contest losing three of their last four league contests. They picked up a 3-1 home loss at Monarcas the last time out, and Atlas currently sit in 11th place with six points out of five matches (W2, L3).
- Ian Torres has been suspended for this game following his red card in Atlas’ previous match, while Jesus Angulo and Anderson Santamaria are both sidelined due to long-term injuries. While Angulo has an unknown return date, Santamaria is likely to miss the entire season with an ACL injury. Lorenzo Reyes is doubtful after picking up a knock the last time out.

THE PREDICTION
Atlas are considerably weakened ahead of this contest and the loss of Lorenzo Reyes in midfield could be particularly worrisome. America also have several injury absentees here, but the quality of their replacements is far better than Atlas’. If we consider Las Aguilas have a stronger roster, own a better record and have the edge of playing at home, then they should be able to get the win here. For what it's worth, America have won five of their last six games against Atlas in league play.
