A largely promising pre-season campaign translated into an opening weekend victory for Torino, who held off Monza’s late comeback to defeat the Serie A debutants 1-2, but they now face an altogether tougher prospect. Visiting Lazio have lofty ambitions this season and have seen plenty of new faces come in over the summer, but it was club stalwart Ciro Immobile who spared their blushes last week with the Italian international’s winner handing Maurizio Sarri’s side a slender victory over Bologna.
