THE LOWDOWN
ROMA
Since the appointment of Daniele De Rossi in January, Roma have enjoyed a magnificent rise from the middle-of-the-table towards the top four and the UEFA Champions League spots. They have been really impressive in both Serie A and the UEFA Europa League, whereby they do have a quarter-final distraction in midweek.
The Giallorossi do, though, come into this one on the back of a surprising and frustrating goalless draw against Lecce on Easter Monday. They have progressed past Feyenoord and Brighton and Hove Albion in Europe, whilst winning seven, drawing two and losing just one of their ten matches domestically.
LAZIO
Coached by Maurizio Sarri, Lazio had been really underwhelming and were sat firmly in the middle-of-the-table when the former Chelsea and Juventus boss made the decision to leave the club last month. He has been replaced by former Hellas Verona and Olympique de Marseille coach, Igor Tudor.
The impressive Croat coach began his stint in charge of the capital city club with a 1-0 defeat of Juventus at Stadio Olimpico last weekend with a winning goal scored by Adam Marusic in the 93rd minute. However, they then played Juve in the second-leg of their Coppa Italia semi-final tie and suffered a 2-0 defeat to the Old Lady in midweek in Turin.

THE PREDICTION
The Derby della Capitale is one of the fiercest rivalries in European football and the latest instalment on Saturday evening should produce another thriller. Club legend Daniele De Rossi has done an excellent job with Roma, playing a fluent and free flowing style of football. That style is similar to what Igor Tudor will be aiming to create at Lazio. However, one team are very much ahead on their project timeline and a Roma win is to be expected.
TIP: ROMA TO WIN
