ROMA PREVIEW: ROMAN RUINS

The appointment and tenure of Daniele De Rossi was initially a positive one but supporters are now unhappy with the club following his sacking last month and the immediate appointment of former Torino boss Ivan Juric.

The Giallorossi had initially immediately improved under Juric with back-to-back Serie A victories but they went into the October international break on the back of a defeat to Elfsborg in the UEFA Europa League and then a draw with winless Monza.

INTER MILAN PREVIEW: INTRICATE INTER

Former Lazio boss Simone Inzaghi led Internazionale to the Italian title with absolute ease, claiming their 20th Scudetto and the second star upon their badge. Things have been a little different this time around but they remain a strong team.

The Nerazzurri have suffered just one defeat in their opening nine matches across all competitions and that came against Milan in the Derby della Madonnina last month. Their most recent outing saw them defeat Torino by three goals to two at San Siro.

ROMA TEAM NEWS: COUPLE OF ISSUES

As Roma welcome Internazionale to the Stadio Olimpico this weekend, the hosts are dealing with a couple of injury issues. On-loan Alexis Saelemaekers is sidelined due to injury alongside Italy international Stephan El Shaarawy.

PREDICTED XI (3-4-2-1): Svilar; Mancini, Ndicka, Tasende; Celik, Kone, Cristante, Zalewski; Matias Soule, Pellegrini; Dovbyk

INTER MILAN TEAM NEWS: RETURN OF BARELLA

Nicolo Barella was out injured before the international break but he has returned to full fitness with Tajon Buchanan also edging closer to a return. Poland international Piotr Zielinski is unavailable for the Nerazzurri, though.

PREDICTED XI (3-5-2): Sommer; Bisseck, Acerbi, Bastoni; Darmian, Frattesi, Calhanoglu, Mkhitaryan, Dimarco; Thuram, Lautaro Martinez

UNAVAILABLE: Zielinski (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Buchanan (Injured)

ROMA VS INTER MILAN PREDICTION

Roma will be a little concerned about the level of their performances and results at the moment. The home team have been really underwhelming throughout the campaign and the fact Juric’s honeymoon period seemingly lasted two matches will concern them further. Inter haven’t necessarily turned a corner but their winning machine is getting up and running and an Inter win is to be expected in the capital.
