THE LOWDOWN

FROSINONE

Despite gaining promotion last season, Frosinone decided to part company with manager Fabio Grosso and replace him with former Roma boss Eusebio Di Francesco. An exciting and ambitious appointment with the goal being to create an attacking and front foot team that has no fear, Frosinone have been a little inconsistent but will be content to have a comfortable five-point gap between themselves and the bottom three ahead of this weekend.

The Romans had endured a really tricky run of form in recent months but now come into this one on the back of collecting four points from their last two matches. Frosinone’s most recent outing, a 1-1 draw with Hellas Verona last weekend, backed up an impressive and comfortable 3-1 defeat of Cagliari as they try to pull themselves into the middle-of-the-table.

AC MILAN

It has been a frustrating and inconsistent year for AC Milan as they almost try to figure out what they have to play for as the season enters the final few months. The Rossoneri are seven points adrift of the title race but have a healthy ten-point lead over Roma in fifth and Fiorentina in sixth ahead of this weekend’s round of fixtures.

Under the management of Stefano Pioli, that no-mans land feel has led to a little inconsistency as they go through the motions, most recently conceding a 92nd minute equaliser at home to Bologna last week. Despite that being a frustrating result, it does mean that AC Milan are now unbeaten in their last seven matches in the league, scoring two or three goals in six of those seven games.

THE TEAM NEWS

FROSINONE

QUESTIONABLE:

AC MILAN

Samu Chukwueze is missing from this weekend due to international duty, whilst the likes of Ismael Bennacer, Fikayo Tomori and Pierre Kalulu are unavailable due to injury.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Kjaer, Gabbia, Hernandez; Adli, Reijnders; Pulisic, Loftus-Cheek, Leao; Giroud

THE PREDICTION

Frosinone will, as is their want, seek to get at the visiting Milanese side with Di Francesco’s style of football built on the foundation of high risk and high reward. Whilst AC Milan can be susceptible at the back, especially without Fikayo Tomori, they are scoring regularly at the moment so a fun game for the neutral with the away team coming out on top appears to be in store.

TIP: AC MILAN TO WIN & OVER 2.5 GOALS
