COMO PREVIEW: CESC’S COMO

Como gained promotion to Serie A last season with Oisin Roberts as the official head coach whilst Cesc Fabregas completed the necessary coaching badges. Over the summer, once that process was complete, Cesc Fabregas was promoted to head coach with Roberts returning to being the Head of Development at the club.

They embarked upon a summer transfer window consisting of several big names but did start slowly. However, they earned back-to-back victories last month against Atalanta and Hellas Verona before heading into the break on the back of a 3-1 defeat to league leading Napoli a couple of weeks ago.

PARMA PREVIEW: PRETTY PARMA

Fabio Pecchia led Parma to the top-flight last season with a proactive and progressive style of football and he decided to reject a few job offers to remain with the visitors over the summer. Their style of football has remained entertaining to watch and they will be more than confident that they can comfortably avoid the drop.

The away team come into this one on the back of a goalless draw against Bologna in their most recent outing a couple of weeks ago before the October international break. Parma are now winless in their last five matches since pulling off a shock 2-1 defeat of AC Milan at the Ennio Tardini a couple of months ago.

COMO TEAM NEWS: FULLY FIT

Como, for the first time this season, have a fully fit and available squad with no injury concerns or suspension issues following the surprise and sudden retirement of Raphael Varane.

It will now be Cesc Fabregas’ task to get his abundance of big names into a cohesive eleven as had appeared to be the case before the break a couple of weeks ago.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Audero; Van Der Brempt, Dossena, Kempf, Alberto Moreno; Sergi Roberto, Maximo Perrone; Strefezza, Nico Paz, Fadera; Cutrone

PARMA TEAM NEWS: SEVERAL ISSUES

Parma are dealing with a few absentees for this weekend’s visit to the lake as Woyo Coulibaly is sidelined through suspension alongside a few other injury concerns.

As well as Coulibaly, Parma are without injured trio Alessandro Circati, Yordan Osorio and Mateusz Kowalski, whilst both Nahuel Estevez and Adrian Benedyczak are doubts.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Suzuki; Valenti, Del Prato, Balogh, Valeri; Adrian Bernabe, Sohm; Cancellieri, Hernani, Man; Bonny

UNAVAILABLE: Kowalski (Injured), Yordan Osorio (Injured), Circati (Injured), Coulibaly (Suspended)

QUESTIONABLE: Nahuel Estevez (Injured), Benedyczak (Injured)

COMO VS PARMA PREDICTION

Como are trying to play a front foot and entertaining style of football and it took about a month or so of the campaign for them to really discover some fluency like that. Their seven matches so far this season have consisted of 24 goals. They now face a Parma side that have also scored ten goals in their seven games and this one should be quite an entertaining encounter for the neutral in which both teams scoring seems a good bet.

COMO VS PARMA TIP: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE
