THE PREDICTION
A fixture between Portugal and Spain always catches the eye, but this time out they are meeting in much different circumstances than when they played out a thrilling 3-3 draw at the 2018 World Cup in Russia - with Cristiano Ronaldo scoring a hat-trick. As both nations face crucial UEFA Nations League matches over the next week each of the two coaches are sure to be cautious with team selection and so we might well see a number of fringe players in action. That is not to say that we won’t have any quality on display as both squads contain lots of ability outside of their first-choice starters. Both teams have been in very good form over the last couple of years and although this is only a friendly match neither coach will want to add a defeat to their record.
