THE PREDICTION
Both of these two teams could be satisfied by their return to action last month as they both recorded victories in their opening UEFA Nations League fixture of the new campaign with Luxembourg winning 2-1 in Azerbaijan, while Liechtenstein claimed a 2-0 victory away from home against San Marino. Luxembourg did go on to lose 1-0 against Montenegro in their second game, but overall, they still took more positives than negatives across the two matches. Liechtenstein’s triumph against San Marino was only their third success since 2015, so they will certainly be buoyed by that result especially as they also kept a very rare clean sheet. This friendly match is only a warm-up for the upcoming UEFA Nations League contests that both nations have over the next week so both coaches may opt for a little experimentation which makes this game a little harder to predict. The preference is just given to Luxembourg who have lost just one of their last six friendly matches on home soil - this includes victories against Hungary and Albania.
