THE PREDICTION
Vietnam come into this on the back of a 1-1 draw against Japan in their final match of the third round of the AFC 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification. The hosts have been poor in the last year or so, though, as they finished at the bottom of Group B in that stage. Afghanistan won one of their eight matches in Group E in the second round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification. Vietnam have been poor and low-scoring but they should be comfortable favourites, especially with home advantage.
