THE PREDICTION

The French now come up against an Ivory Coast side that do have a new generation of very talented players in their side but were knocked out of 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification by Cameroon in 2021 before a penalty shootout defeat to Egypt in the Round of 16 of the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations in January. The French will be expected to win this one relatively comfortably but given that it is likely Les Bleus rotate and experiment, both teams to score would appear a good bet.
