THE PREDICTION

Despite having little to play or prepare for, Ivaylo Petev has named a strong Bosnia-Herzegovina squad. The Bosnians will be led by all-time top scorer Edin Dzeko and, albeit having a relatively strong squad, they will be without the likes of Miralem Pjanic and Mario Vrancic, as well as former Athletic forward Kenan Kodro. They now come up against a Georgia side that, like many smaller nations since the formation of the UEFA Nations League, have shown real cohesive signs of improvement both on and off the pitch. The visitors come into this on the back of a slender victory against Uzbekistan in November, which followed up a famous 2-0 win in qualifying over Sweden. The Georgians have won their last three matches and have dramatically improved since Willy Sagnol’s mid-2021 appointment. Both teams scoring would appear a good bet for this one.
