THE PREDICTION
Republic of Ireland pushed France extremely hard in Dublin, losing by a single goal and if not for the heroics of French goalkeeper Mike Maignan, Stephen Kenny’s side may well have got something out of the game. It will be an even tougher challenge for them in Paris and particularly following the news that striker Evan Ferguson, on the back of a hat-trick for club side Brighton this past weekend won’t feature due to injury. France are expected to dominate the majority of play and it’s hard not to see them breaking through the Irish backline more than once. Ferguson would have given the visitors at quality focal point in attack, but without him they are likely to struggle retaining the ball when under pressure. Back France to come out on top by at least two clear goals.
