CAMEROON PREVIEW: CAUTIOUS CAMEROONIANS

Cameroon were underwhelming at the 2023 CAF Africa Cup of Nations earlier this year with a Round of 16 exit in the Ivory Coast but the Cameroonians have been much-improved since the appointment of former Oud-Heverlee Leuven coach Marc Brys.

‘The Indomitable Lions’, as they are nicknamed, come into this one on the back of a goalless draw against Zimbabwe in their most recent outing, last month. That draw means they are now unbeaten in their last four matches have scored just two goals in their last three matches.

KENYA PREVIEW: AVERAGE KENYANS

The Kenyan national football team come into this one on the back of their own goalless draw against the aforementioned Zimbabweans in their opening 2025 AFCON qualifier during the September international break.

Coached by former Moldova manager Engin Firat, the Kenyan national team are currently ranked 102nd in the world according to FIFA. Their goalless draw with Zimbabwe does mean they have suffered just one defeat in their last ten matches.

CAMEROON VS KENYA PREDICTION

The Cameroonians have become a little more structured and organised under Marc Brys. That has led to quite a few low-scoring affairs but a little more structure is never necessarily a bad thing when they have such quality in attack, especially at least in relative terms. The Kenyans themselves are also fairly average and also lacking a key defender, as mentioned, for this one, so Cameroon, with their home advantage, are expected to come out on top.
