THE PREDICTION
Turkey’s slender 2-1 victory over Azerbaijan was emblematic of their apparent identity: up for the big games, careless in meaningless or lesser games. That friendly didn’t mean much and it was a rotated and experimental side as Senol Gunes looks to trim his 30-man preliminary squad to 26 ahead of the Euros.
