THE PREDICTION
This is a match between two improving countries with El Salvador preparing for their Gold Cup and Qatar in the middle of their World Cup cycle ahead of their hosting duties next year. The home team come into this on the back of a goalless draw against Guatemala which has extended their unbeaten run to seven matches since late 2020. Qatar have been very good participating in AFC World Cup qualification despite already being qualified as hosts. Qatar did have an excellent March with victories over Azerbaijan and Luxembourg coming before a draw with Ireland. They are stubborn and the defensive records of both sides would suggest this should be low-scoring.
