THE LOWDOWN
WERDER BREMEN
Having gained four points from the last six available to them, Werder Bremen have pulled away from danger down in the bottom half of the Bundesliga table with five points separating them from the bottom three. However, Werder won’t want to be looking over the shoulders during the winter break so a good result here is important.
Most recently, Werder played out a hard-fought 2-2 draw away at Borussia Monchengladbach. A match which saw them lead early on, only to fall behind early on in the second half. But the visitors bounced back to secure a point courtesy of Marvin Ducksch.
RB LEIPZIG
RB Leipzig are coming off the back of three consecutive victories, most recently overcoming Hoffenheim by three goals to one at the Red Bull Arena. Now the aim is to enter the winter break with their winning run still intact and their place in the Bundesliga title frame still secure.
This marks attacking midfielder Emil Forsberg’s final game for the club, the Swedish international has completed a move to Red Bull New York and will join them over the course of the winter break. Marco Rose will no doubt hope both Dani Olmo and Willie Orban return fully fit come the new year.

THE PREDICTION
The offensive firepower within this RB Leipzig squad should see them overwhelm the Werder backline, who have struggled across the 2023-24 campaign so far, conceding 29 goals in the Bundesliga. No doubt Werder pose a threat themselves though and RB Leipzig are without a clean sheet over the course of their last ten matches in all competitions. With that in mind, back both teams to score here, but also an RB Leipzig victory.
BETTING TIP: BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE AND RB LEIPZIG TO WIN
