UNION BERLIN PREVIEW: STILL UNBEATEN AFTER HOLDING LEIPZIG

Union Berlin put in an excellent performance away to RB Leipzig last time out, securing a 0-0 draw against Marco Rose’s side, The point ensures they are still yet to be beaten in the Bundesliga this season, drawing twice and winning once. That victory came at home to St. Pauli, so they’ll hope for a similar story on their own patch here.

Of Union’s four games played in all competitions so far this season, three of them saw them keep clean sheets, again underlining the strength of their backline and why they have proven so difficult to beat under Bo Svensson in 2024-25.

HOFFENHEIM PREVIEW: LEVERKUSEN TOO STRONG FOR HOSTS IN SINSHEIM

Hoffenheim fell to their second league defeat of the campaign last weekend as they were outclassed by Bayer Leverkusen, losing 1-4. When factoring in their 3-1 loss to Eintracht Frankfurt prior to that game, it is an area of concern for Pellegrino Matarazzo. They are currently conceded too many goals and winning games as a result is becoming difficult.

As it stands, Hoffenheim have shipped 11 goals across their last four in all competitions so far this campaign. Unless their defensive fragilities are fixed sooner rather than later, Hoffenheim won’t be able to kick on as a team.

UNION BERLIN TEAM NEWS: VOLLAND MISSING IN ATTACK FOR HOSTS

Forward Kevin Volland is Union’s most notable absence with right-wing-back Josip Juranovic also missing. Therefore, a front three of Vertessen, Siebatcheu and Hollerbach may well be on the cards for the home side.

PREDICTED XI (3-4-3): Ronnow; Doekhi, Vogt, Leite; Trimmel, Khedira, Schafer, Rousillon; Vertessen, Siebatcheu, Hollerbach

UNAVAILABLE: Juranovic (Injured), Stein (Injured), Volland (Injured)

PREDICTED XI (3-4-3): Baumann; Drexler, Stach, Akpoguma; Kaderabek, Tohumcu, Geiger, Prass; Hlozek, Kramaric, Berisha

UNION BERLIN VS HOFFENHEIM PREDICTION

This represents a huge opportunity for Union Berlin when taking into account that these two sides are at the opposite ends of scale when it comes to being their respective opponents at bay. Whilst Union Berlin have shut out the majority of teams they’ve played this season, Hoffenheim can’t stop conceding goals, so that plays into Union’s favour.

Provided the Union backline can replicate recent performances, they stand an excellent chance of victory with the likelihood that they will score at least one against Hoffenheim’s leaky defence. Therefore, back the hosts to win this one via the safety of the draw no bet market.

UNION BERLIN VS HOFFENHEIM TIP: UNION BERLIN DRAW NO BET
