THE LOWDOWN
HOFFENHEIM
Heading into the final 15 minutes at the Voith-Arena trailing 2-0 to Heidenheim, Hoffenheim fans would have been fearing the worst. By the full-time whistle though, they were in dreamland following an unbelievable turnaround. The visitors stunned the newly promoted Heidenheim with a quick double-salvo through Maximillan Beier and Pavel Kaderabek to draw the scores level with ten minutes to go.
Then deep into stoppage time, Hoffenheim were handed the perfect opportunity to win the game from the penalty spot. Andrej Kramaric made no mistake, slotting home and completing the comeback, giving Hoffenheim their first three points of the new campaign.
WOLFSBURG
Wolfsburg come into the third round of Bundesliga fixtures as one of five clubs with six points from a possible six. They backed up their comfortable 2-0 win against Heidenheim with a hard-fought 1-2 triumph away at FC Cologne which saw them come from behind to ultimately emerge victorious.
Absolutely pivotal to the success of Wolfsburg so far this campaign has been the form of forward Jonas Wind. The 24-year-old backed up his brace over Heidenheim with another two goals at RheinEnergie Stadion and will no doubt pose a huge threat to the Hoffenheim backline.
THE TEAM NEWS
HOFFENHEIM
A change is expected within the Hoffenheim back three due to Kevin Akpoguma suffering from illness. His namesake, Kevin Vogt should slot in alongside Ozan Kabak and John Brooks. Kramaric and Wout Weghorst make up a formidable frontline at Bundesliga level.
PREDICTED XI (3-5-2): Baumann; Kabak, Vogt, Brooks; Kaderabek, Promel, Grillitsch, Stiller, Bulter; Kramaric, Weghorst
UNAVAILABLE: Geiger (Injured), John (Injured)
QUESTIONABLE: Akpoguma (Illness)
WOLFSBURG
Lukas Nmecha’s knee injury keeps him out of contention here, Kilian Fischer also misses out with a knee problem and defender Felix Lange is suffering with an injured ankle. 21-year-old Jakub Kaminski is a contender to come into the starting line-up on the left-hand-side of a front three in place of Patrick Wimmer.

THE PREDICTION
The expectation is that we’ll see goals between these two sides based on the opening two rounds of Bundesliga fixtures and the quality of forwards set to be on show. Wolfsburg have netted twice in each of the league games played so far, whilst Hoffenheim have also scored four across their last two games and come into this one riding the crest of a wave following that incredible comeback win last Saturday. Therefore, back over 2.5 goals to be scored regardless of which way this game goes.
TIP: OVER 2.5 GOALS
