HEIDENHEIM PREVIEW: NO PLACE TO HIDE

In the last few seasons, Heidenheim have massively overachieved. Playing in the Bundesliga is already something that seemed nigh on impossible a few years ago and they are now a team competing in the Bundesliga and in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

After finishing seventh in the Bundesliga last season, Heidenheim have enjoyed three victories with four defeats in their opening seven matches of this campaign. They defeated Pafos in midweek to make it back-to-back victories in the UEFA Europa Conference League.

HOFFENHEIM PREVIEW: BAD START

American coach Pellegrino Matarazzo is in charge of a Hoffenheim side that qualified for the UEFA Europa League last season but they have massively dropped off this year as they hover above the bottom three and the danger zone this season.

The visitors come into this one on the back of a 2-0 defeat to Porto in the league phase of the UEFA Europa League in midweek. They have managed just two victories in their opening 11 matches across all competitions so far this season.

HEIDENHEIM TEAM NEWS: NOTHING FRESH

There is only one injury issue for Heidenheim this weekend so they will be able to name an unchanged eleven for this one with Maximilian Breunig sidelined for the hosts.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Muller; Busch, Mainka, Gimber, Fohrenbach; Maloney, Schoppner; Beck, Wanner, Scienza; Pieringer

UNAVAILABLE: Breunig (Injured)

HEIDENHEIM VS HOFFENHEIM PREDICTION

Heidenheim have been very entertaining to watch so far this season. Despite being underdogs they have been proactive and on the front foot with their seven matches consisting of 23 goals. They face a Hoffenheim side that, despite their underperformance, have also been fun to watch with their seven games consisting of 30 goals. As a result, quite a fun match for the neutral appears in store here.
