THE PREDICTION

The gap between third-placed Bayer Leverkusen and second-placed Borussia Dortmund grew to six points in midweek after Gerardo Seoane’s side were forced to settle for a 2-2 draw against Hoffenheim after giving up a 2-0 lead with ten minutes left to play. Here, they travel to Freiburg who have won just one of their last six matches. The expectation is that Leverkusen will prove too strong for the hosts particularly from an attacking perspective, but the key is whether they can shore themselves up defensively compared to what they showed in midweek.
