THE LOWDOWN

BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH

Borussia Monchengladbach have endured a tough start to the season and are yet to claim their first victory. They have faced some very difficult games but needed a red card to aid their comeback last week as they fought back from 3-0 down at half-time to claim a point against Darmstadt.

Gladbach will take some heart from that fight back but it is clear that they will need to improve if they are to earn their first win of the campaign with just two points to their name from a possible 12 so far.

RB LEIPZIG

RB Leipzig made it four successive wins in all competitions as they got the better of Young Boys in the UEFA Champions League during the week. They have scored at least three goals in each of those four matches on the back of that success.

Leipzig had previously beaten Augsburg before that UCL win and will be full of confidence having played some brilliant football in the early part of this season under boss Marco Rose.

THE TEAM NEWS

BORUSSIA MONCHENGLADBACH

Manu Kone and Christoph Kramer could both return here and the midfield duo will be pushing for starts if they can prove their fitness in time, although they may have to settle for a spot on the bench if they are not 100%.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Nicolas; Scally, Elvedi, Itakura, Wöber; Weigl, Neuhaus; Ngoumou, Reitz, Pléa; Jordan

UNAVAILABLE: Lainer (Injured), Omlin (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Čvančara (Injured), Kone (Injured), Kramer (Injured)

RB LEIPZIG

Leipzig are missing some important players with key man Dani Olmo sidelined with a knee issue while midfielder Amadou Haidara is another big absentee with a calf complaint.

PREDICTED XI (4-4-2): Blaswich; Henrichs, Simakan, Castello, Raum; Xavi, Schlager, Kampl, Forsberg; Openda, Poulsen

UNAVAILABLE: Bitshiabu (Injured), Haidara (Injured), Olmo (Injured), Orban (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Klostermann (Illness)

THE PREDICTION

Borussia Monchengladbach will aim to secure their first win of the season as they take on RB Leipzig but it will be a very difficult task against the in-form visitors. Leipzig are on a great run having won their last four and with at least two goals scored in all of their games so far this season, they are fancied to claim another positive result.

TIP: RB Leipzig draw no bet
