BOCHUM PREVIEW: STILL SEARCHING FOR THAT ILLUSIVE WIN

After picking up their first point of the campaign against Holstein Kiel, Bochum can count themselves unlucky to then face a trip to Borussia Dortmund immediately after, meaning they had little chance to build any sort of momentum. That proved to be the case as Bochum were beaten 4-2 at Signal Iduna Park.

What Bochum can at least take heart from is the fact that they have now scored two goals in consecutive games. If they can maintain such attacking potency and shore things up defensively, then their fortunes could soon change.

WOLFSBURG PREVIEW: ONE POINT FROM LAST NINE AVAILABLE

Wolfsburg are suffering through a poor patch of form right now, having lost two and drawn one of their most recent three Bundesliga fixtures. The most frustrating nature of Wolfsburg’s last game was them taking the lead twice before being pegged back on each occasion by Stuttgart, including in the seventh minute of second half stoppage time.

Deniz Undav’s goal at the death denied Wolfsburg three points and leaves them on four points heading into the sixth round of Bundesliga fixtures. When considering their opponents here, Wolfsburg need to try and capitalise on Bochum’s struggles.

BOCHUM TEAM NEWS: THREE MISSING FOR HOME SIDE

Peter Zeidler will not have a fully fit squad to choose from for this latest encounter, with Bamba, Bernardo and Masovic all set to see out for Bochum.

PREDICTED XI (4-3-1-2): Drewes; Passlack, Ordets, Tolba, Wittek; Losilla, Sissoko, Bero; De Wit; Hofmann, Boadu

UNAVAILABLE: Bamba (Illness), Bernardo (Injured), Masovic (Fitness)

WOLFSBURG TEAM NEWS: NUMEROUS INJURIES AND DOUBTS

Wolfsburg are set to be without at least four players for their trip to Bochum, whilst there are question marks over the likes of Fischer, Maehle, Rogerio and Svanberg.

PREDICTED XI (3-4-3): Grabara; Bornauw, Zesiger, Koulierakis; Baku, Ozcan, Arnold, Kaminski; Amoura, Wind, Tomas

UNAVAILABLE: Bialek (Injured), Majer (Injured), Nmecha (Injured), Paredes (Injured)

QUESTIONABLE: Fischer (Injured), Maehle (Injured), Rogerio (Injured), Svanberg (Injured)

BOCHUM VS WOLFSBURG PREDICTION

When taking into account the struggles that both Bochum and Wolfsburg have been facing of late, it would be no surprise if we were in for a turgid encounter here with a substantial lack of quality going forward among both sides. The outcome itself could go either away, but a short supply of goals is expected. Back under 2.5 goals to be scored in this one.

BOCHUM VS WOLFSBURG TIP: UNDER 2.5 GOALS
