THE PREDICTION

Last weekend was an unusual one in the Bundesliga as Bayern Munich dropped points once again. The German champions were held 1-1 by Union Berlin and will be happy to return home for this encounter with Stuttgart, an ideal one for them to get back on the winning trail domestically. The visiting side have established themselves as draw specialists following their opening five fixtures, with four of the five ending level. They won’t prove easy to break down either for Bayern, who are coming off a tough Champions League contest away at Inter just three days earlier. However, the strength-in-depth of Julian Nagelsmann’s side should see them through to securing three points, although it is unlikely to be an emphatic win.
