THE LOWDOWN
BAYERN MUNICH
Three defeats in the space of a week would normally be unheard of within the quarters of Bayern Munich. But that’s exactly what occurred over the course of last week. A 1-0 loss in the Champions League away at Lazio was sandwiched between defeats away at Bayer Leverkusen and Bochum, both of which saw Bayern concede three goals. Change seemed inevitable and indeed it arrived with the news that head coach Thomas Tuchel will leave the club at the end of the season. The very real prospect of the ‘Rekordmeister’ ending the campaign trophyless was always going to ensure changes within the football staff.
RB LEIPZIG
RB Leipzig have recorded seven points from the last nine available to them, but despite that have still lost ground on third-placed Stuttgart, underlining the form they are in and how difficult it has been for Leipzig to move up the Bundesliga table. However, they remain within reach of the Champions League places and Marco Rose's side have a real chance to make a statement here in Munich. Key players are back fit and having netted two goals in each of their last three Bundesliga fixtures, Leipzig’s offensive players must be feeling confident about facing a leaky Bayern backline.

THE PREDICTION
This really does represent an incredible opportunity for RB Leipzig to gain points against a Bayern side probably more vulnerable than they’ve been in years on the pitch. Confidence is clearly low, the strength-in-depth isn’t there due to a lengthy injury list, players may well be tired with the Champions League returning and the relationship between them and Tuchel doesn’t seem right. The way Bayern dominate possession could well play into Leipzig’s hands here with the pace of Sesko on the counter-attack and Dani Olmo also a huge threat, as it proved in the DFL-Supercup last August when he netted a hat-trick as Leipzig defeated Bayern 0-3 in Munich. Expect the visitors to create big goalscoring opportunities and back them via the double chance market to gain at least a point, if not all three.
TIP: DOUBLE CHANCE - DRAW/RB LEIPZIG
