THE PREDICTION
Bayern Munich extended their lead at the top of the Bundesliga to four points last weekend after beating closest title rivals Borussia Dortmund 2-3 away from home. Having then gone on to knock Barcelona out of the Champions League in midweek, they now turn their attentions to Mainz, who are coming off the back of a 3-0 win over Wolfsburg. The visitors have accrued just one clean sheet away from home all season and it’s extremely unlikely that they will be able to keep out Bayern, when taking into account the pace, guile and quality that the hosts boast within their attacking ranks. Whilst this may not prove Bayern’s easiest encounter with fatigue potentially an issue having played in midweek, Julian Nagelsmann’s side should still comfortably emerge victorious here.
